REBORN FRIENDSHIP

Childhoodpals Bart Reijn and Maarten van den Born are the driving force behind this new brand. Both have been involved in the marine industry all their careers, Maarten in yacht building, Bart with his own watersport company called Reijn’s Boten. Maarten joined Bart in 2010 and together they have successfully grown the business.

Bernd Weel is an award-winning Dutch designer with a strong focus on creating modern and progressive yacht designs. Together with Reborn Yachts he designed their range of future classic yachts.

“We look for pure & crisp lines in our designs. Lines that not only follow function, but give a design its own character and identity. The surface design on the Reborn's are focussed on how light will reflect upon it. Creating highlights and shadows in the right places. The Reborn is a sculpture that stands the test of time, seeking for 'the essence' in design.”

ABOUT REBORN

The ambition was always to set up their own boat brand, however, and in 2018 they took the plunge by starting Reborn Yachts. Assembling an experienced team of professionals, including Sea Level Naval Architects, Bernd Weel Design, Nedcam and Adel Polyester, they started working towards their ultimate goal. By mid-2020 the plugs and moulds were ready and by the end of the year the first hull was under construction. The first yacht was launched in the summer of 2021: The Reborn Cabin 38. Followed by the other members of the exciting Reborn fleet: the Bowrider 38 and 40R, the next year.
